Option to Disable Gradients on Calendar Blocks

The current gradient routine blocks + texture backgrounds on calendar events look nice, but they reduce contrast with the time grid and can make events harder to read.

For accessibility, could there be a setting to switch to solid-color blocks instead of gradients?
